A “Human v. Non-Human Bone Identification” workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, in room 122 of the Jacobetti Complex at Northern Michigan University. The NMU Forensic Research Outdoor Station (FROST) has invited Michigan State University forensic anthropologist Joseph Hefner to lead the program, which is designed for those who may encounter skeletal remains during their daily work duties.

An Intro to Cybersecurity Camp for students in grades 7-12 will be held at Northern Michigan University's new U.P. Cybersecurity Institute from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 29-Friday, Aug. 2.

Northern Michigan University is among the top 200 colleges for Indigenous students for 2019-20. The list will appear in November's special college issue of Winds of Change, a magazine published quarterly by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).
