NMU Quiz Bowl Competes in Minneapolis

The Northern Michigan University Quiz Bowl team sent three squads to the annual Academic Competition Federation (ACF) fall tournament held Oct. 19 in Minneapolis. The A squad, with a record of 10-2, finished in first place in the undergraduate division and in second place overall out of 12 teams at the tournament.

NMU Board Approves Investing in New Facilities

Oct. 28, 2021 —
Demonstrating its confidence in the university's future, the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees voted to invest $90.6 million in capital projects, major maintenance and campus improvements.

UP Folklife Award Nominees Invited

The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University is seeking nominations from the public for the 2021 Upper Peninsula Folklife Awards. The deadline is Oct. 31.
