Northern Michigan University will host a welcome reception for incoming NMU President Chris Olsen and his wife, Jennifer. The event is scheduled from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Grand Ballroom of the Northern Center. Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend.
Olsen will become the 19th president of NMU, effective Jan. 1. He has more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience. Most recently, he has served Indiana State University as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, and previously as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and chair of the Department of History.
