Hetrick Promoted at B&W Enterprises

NMU alumna Gillianne Hetrick began 2025 with a new role as senior vice president of corporate operations at Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc. in Akron, Ohio.  She leads B&W's Human Resources, Environmental Health, Safety & Security, Information Technology, Communications & Marketing, Facility Services, and Global Travel organizations. Hetrick earned a bachelor's from NMU in public relations, advertising and applied communication in 2002. She has more than 20 years' experience in the energy and communications industries, with both public and private companies. 

Hetrick joined B&W, a global leader in energy and environmental technologies and services for the power and industrial markets, in 2019. She later served as vice president of corporate operations from 2022 through her promotion this year. Prior to joining B&W, Hetrick held a number of positions at small to mid-sized publicly traded companies, where she led Human Resources, IT and Safety functions, and focused on business strategy, as well as process and operational efficiency improvements.

According to a press release, she also is an active supporter of the business community. Hetrick serves on CAK Regional Air Service Task Force. She also serves as co-founder and director of The Beacon Principle, a nonprofit organization that provides programs and support for those serving in the military and emergency services professions.
