Northern Michigan University 2004 alumnus Jonathan Hare has been recognized as one of the “Best 5 Photographers to Watch in 2025” by TQS Magazine, in a feature story also shared on MSN.com. Hare earned his bachelor's degree in English/secondary education, but he has spent the past 18 years building a reputation as “one of the most sought-after wedding photographers” in Tampa and St. Petersburg, Fla.
“As the owner and creative force behind Jonathan Hare Photography, his passion for storytelling and ability to capture raw, emotional moments have earned him multiple awards and magazine features,” states TQS. “For Jonathan, photography is more than just a profession—it's a way to connect with people. While accolades are rewarding, he takes the greatest pride in the lasting relationships he has formed with his clients, many of whom have become lifelong friends.”
According to TQS, photography continues to evolve as one of the most dynamic forms of expression. It is not just about preserving moments, but also telling stories, blending creativity and technology, and challenging how people see the world. The magazine's Best 5 Photographers of 2025 feature spotlights visionaries behind the camera who have redefines what it means to see the world through a lens.
Hare offered this advice to aspiring photographers: “Find what you love and go after it with every ounce of passion you have. When I started 18 years ago, I focused on what truly inspired me—wedding photography. It's easy to fall into the trap of doing all things photography, but the key to success is finding your niche, perfecting your craft, and staying true to what you love most.”
